  • Ashwagandha Root

    Scientific Name: Withania somnifera

    Origin: India, Middle East, and Africa

    Actions: Adaptogen, Anti- Inflammatory, Antioxidant, Aphrodisiac, Nervine

    Uses: Manage depression and anxiety, to boost brain function, increase testosterone, increase muscle mass

    Safety: Do not use it if you are pregnant or have diabetes.

  • Black Pepper

    Scientific Name: Piper nigrum

    Origin: India

    Actions: Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, digestive stimulant

    Uses: To stimulate digestion. Immune support. Black pepper is also used to increase absorption of other herbs. It increases the absorption of Curcumin, which is found in Turmeric, by 2000%.

    Safety: Do not use high doses while pregnant.

  • Chamomile

    Scientific Name: Matricaria chamomilla

    Origin: Europe, Africa, and Asia

    Actions: Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, carminative, nervine

    Uses: Supports good digestion. Skin inflammation. Sleep aid. Calming

    Safety: If you have an allergy to daisies, you may find a sensitivity to chamomile.

  • Cinnamon

    Scientific Name: Cinnamomum zeylanicum

    Origin: Sri Lanka

    Actions: Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, anticancer

    Uses: Aids in digestion. Helps immune response with common cold and flu. Lowers blood sugar levels.

    Safety: Avoid taking if on medications for diabetes. Generally seen safe when taken in culinary doses.

  • Ginger

    Scientific Name: Zingiber officinale

    Origin: Southeast Asia

    Actions: Anti-inflammatory, antiemetic, antimicrobial, circulatory stimulant, expectorant

    Uses: To offset nausea. Immune stimulant. Enhances blood circulation in the body.

    Safety: Avoid high doses if taking anticoagulant medications.

    Uses: Helpful for anxiety and depression. Upper respiratory issues. Used as an antioxidant.

    Safety: Generally regarded as safe.
